Overview
Calovix is a nutrition and wellness tracking application. This policy explains the categories of information the app may process, why they are used, and what choices are available to users.
Data we may process
Depending on which features you enable, Calovix may process profile and goal information, food diary entries, nutrition totals, water, weight, activity, steps, sleep, meal photos, scan results, app diagnostics, purchase/subscription state and a pseudonymous device-derived identifier used to enforce scan quotas and prevent simple reinstall abuse.
Calovix does not require every feature. Optional modules can be disabled and manual tracking can remain available when connected health data is unavailable.
AI meal scans
When you choose to scan a meal, the selected image is optimized before upload and sent to the Calovix backend for AI-assisted analysis. The service may use third-party AI infrastructure to identify visible foods, estimate portions and return nutrition estimates. AI output can be inaccurate and should be reviewed before saving.
Health Connect, steps and sleep
If you explicitly grant permission, the Android app may read supported step and sleep records through Health Connect. Compatible sources may include Samsung Health, Google Fit or other apps that share data into Health Connect. Calovix requests only the data types needed for enabled features. Manual entry remains available if permission is declined or data is unavailable.
Local photos and app storage
Meal photos selected for diary history may be stored privately inside the app on the device. Uninstalling the application may remove local app data unless the platform or a future account/sync feature restores it.
Advertising and analytics
The Free plan may display Google AdMob advertising. Google may process advertising identifiers and related information according to its own policies and the consent choices shown to the user. Calovix may also collect limited diagnostics and usage events such as app errors, scan success/failure and aggregate product usage to operate and improve the service. Detailed Health Connect records are not intended to be used for advertising.
Payments
Paid plans, when available, are processed through the applicable app-store billing system. Calovix may receive purchase identifiers and subscription status needed to unlock features and prevent duplicate entitlement use, but does not receive a user's full payment-card details.
Retention
Local diary information remains on the device until deleted by the user or application storage is cleared. Server-side operational records are retained only as reasonably needed for service security, quota enforcement, diagnostics, legal obligations and fraud prevention. Retention periods may be refined before public launch.
Your choices
You can decline optional Health Connect permissions, disable tracking modules, remove local app data, manage advertising consent where offered, and request deletion of identifiable or pseudonymous server-side records where applicable.
